About the Cyber Security Identity team:

The Cyber Security Identity team is responsible for protecting and governing Energy Queensland's critical identity infrastructure, including Active Directory Domain Services, Microsoft Entra ID, Privileged Access Management and Identity Governance capabilities.

Operating within a Zero Trust framework, the team leads the design, operation and continuous improvement of identity security controls that reduce organisational risk while enabling secure and efficient business operations. The team works closely with cyber security, infrastructure, architecture, project delivery and business stakeholders to ensure identity services remain secure, reliable and aligned with strategic objectives.

Your opportunity:

As the Senior Identity Domain Specialist – CyberArk/Idira PAM Lead you will be the technical authority for Energy Queensland's Idira (formerly CyberArk) Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform. This is a key senior cyber security role where you'll lead the strategy, operation and continuous enhancement of our PAM capability, helping protect critical systems and manage privileged access risk across a large and complex enterprise environment.

Working closely with cyber security, infrastructure, cloud and architecture teams, you'll drive PAM platform maturity, provide technical leadership on major initiatives, and influence the future direction of identity security across the organisation. This role is primarily focused on leading and advancing Energy Queensland's Idira (CyberArk) Privileged Access Management capability. Exposure to SailPoint Identity Security Cloud will be valuable, however, deep expertise in Privileged Access Management is the critical requirement for success.

A typical day sees you:

- Lead the operation, governance and continuous improvement of the Idira (CyberArk) PAM platform.
- Design and implement privileged access solutions including credential vaulting, session management,



just-in-time access and privileged account automation.
- Drive platform security, availability, performance and lifecycle management outcomes.
- Partner with cyber security, infrastructure, cloud and application teams to strengthen privileged access controls across the enterprise.
- Provide technical leadership for PAM projects, enhancements and integrations delivered by internal teams and external partners.
- Investigate privileged access incidents, lead remediation activities and identify opportunities to reduce security risk.
- Develop standards, processes and roadmaps that support PAM maturity and alignment with Zero Trust principles.
- Mentor team members and provide trusted technical advice to stakeholders across the business.

The remuneration for your new role is from $185,486 - $212,300 per annum + 14.75% superannuation for a 10-day fortnight.

What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications

- Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Idira or CyberArk certifications such as Defender, Sentry or equivalent PAM certifications will be highly regarded.
- SailPoint IdentityNow Professional and/or Engineer certifications are advantageous.

As for your technical expertise, we need you to have:

- Extensive hands-on experience administering and engineering Idira, CyberArk or equivalent enterprise PAM platforms.
- Strong expertise across privileged credential management, session management, secrets management, privileged threat detection and just-in-time access.
- Experience leading security-critical platforms within large,



complex enterprise environments.
- Strong automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Python or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience implementing privileged access controls across hybrid and cloud environments.
- Experience integrating PAM and identity solutions with enterprise applications, cloud platforms and service management tools.
- Understanding of Zero Trust security principles, identity security architecture and privileged access governance.
- Exposure to SailPoint Identity Security Cloud or similar Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms.
- Experience supporting security and compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Essential Eight and AESCSF.
