Temporary part time opportunity to perform sleep investigations accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner, whilst maintaining patient investigation standards through the application of evidence-based practices in accordance with current laboratory procedures and guidelines and Queensland Health policies and directives.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Effectively undertake rostered provision of level 2 ambulatory sleep studies, scoring and reporting duties with competence and accuracy and participate in laboratory technical and service development, and education and research as required.
- Perform prescribed duties within a multi-disciplinary team and effectively interact with other hospital staff, patients and members of the public with respect, discretion and diplomacy.
- Actively participate in the clinical, educational, and training activities of the multidisciplinary team and undertake development of knowledge and skills in accordance with current laboratory accreditation standards, guidelines and practices.
- Provide clinical practice and operational supervision to less experienced polysomnographic staff, work experience students,
and/or those involved in observational clinical placements.
