About the role

ARRCS are actively sourcing a Return to Country Support Officer to join their team on a full-time basis and attracts an hourly rate of $36.75 - $40.10 / hour gross base (dependent on skills and experience).

Based in Katherine, Northern Territory, this highly administrative role will see you supporting operations of the program by working with clients and their families, taking bookings and responding to general enquiries, help with preparation of trips and support the maintenance of vehicles including servicing and cleaning.

This role would ideally suit a proactive person who is comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision. You will have excellent computer skills and enjoy coordinating and organizing bookings. You will ideally have experience working with First Nations and have strong cultural knowledge. In addition, you will enjoy customer service, this role will require you to be the first point of contact for many of the consumers using this service.

In addition, you will be able to travel, when required, to remote communities with possible overnight requirements.

Skills & experience

To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications:

- Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture values.
- Experience in the provision of support and advocacy to Aboriginal families.
- Current manual NT Driver's License.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and confidence to respond to queries both on the phone and via email.
- Demonstrated previous experience in an administrative capacity with intermediate computer skills.
