Fraser Coast Regional Council is entering an exciting period of growth, investment and economic opportunity. As part of this momentum, Council has established a new Economic Development and Advocacy Directorate to strengthen investment attraction, commercial development and regional competitiveness. Within this new structure, Council is seeking an exceptional Commercial & Investment Manager to help drive the next phase of economic growth across the region.

Reporting to the Director Economic Development and Advocacy, this newly created role will lead Council's investment attraction and commercial initiatives while helping maximise the value and performance of Council's land and commercial assets. You will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities, building investor confidence and facilitating outcomes that deliver long-term economic benefits for the community.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a role with significant executive support and broad organisational visibility. Building on several years of foundational work already undertaken, you will oversee investment attraction activities, manage commercial opportunities, support major development proposals and lead strategic approaches to Council's land portfolio, including leasing, development, optimisation and disposal opportunities.

You will engage extensively with investors, developers, industry representatives, government agencies,



landowners and internal stakeholders. Your ability to establish trusted relationships, facilitate complex negotiations and navigate commercial, legal and governance considerations will be critical to success. You will also work across Council functions including planning, infrastructure, property, regulation and executive leadership teams to support investment-ready outcomes and economic development priorities.

To succeed in this position, you will bring demonstrated experience in commercial property, investment attraction, economic development, property development, land portfolio management, infrastructure or a related commercial field. Experience within local government, state government economic development agencies or major property and development organisations will be highly regarded.

You will be commercially astute, analytical and relationship-focused, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Just as importantly, you will bring energy, ambition and a genuine desire to help shape the future prosperity of a growing region.

Qualifications in business, commerce, economic development, planning, property or a related discipline would be beneficial, although equivalent experience and demonstrated success will be highly regarded. A current Queensland Class C driver's licence is required.
