Queensland Veterinary Specialist (QVS) is Australia’s longest established, privately owned 24/7 specialist group. All our hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and veterinary technology to provide the very best in patient care. We are looking a Reproduction Nurse to join our Stafford team.
About the role
QVS reproduction service was first established in 1990 and is still the only specialist animal reproduction service in Australia working within a 24/7 referral veterinary hospital. In this role you would work closely with our dedicated reproduction team on a wide variety of interesting and rewarding cases. You'll assist with Caesareans and anaesthetic monitoring, Surgical Artificial Insemination, Trans Cervical Insemination and Trans Vaginal Insemination, as well as performing pregnancy x-rays and progesterone testing. The role also involves general nursing duties and admin.

Requirements of the Role
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in Veterinary Nursing. General Practice nurses welcome to apply! Our team of highly trained nurses and technicians are passionate about teaching.
- Confidence in anaesthesia monitoring. Our specialist anaesthesia team and highly trained nurses/techs are ready to support you through this next step in your career in specialist nursing.
- This is a part time position 3 – 4 days per week (eg. Weds, Fri, Saturday 5:30am-12pm)
