An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist (Child and Youth Mental Health - Continuing Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Manager a highly complex caseload with clinical supervision
- Provide supervision for less experienced clinicians and students as negotiated
- Conduct child and youth focused assessments and interventions that are evidenced-based
- Provide comprehensive and flexible mental health service to children, young people and their family/carers
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Psychology or equivalent
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (6 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $3,067.00 - $4,453.50 per fortnight

Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) is a part of the Mental Health and Specialist Services (MHSS) Division. The CYMHS Continuing Care Team (CCT) is a multi-disciplinary,
multi-specialty team within the Gold Coast CYMHS, operating across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to provide multispecialty mental health intervention to children and young people (0-18 years). Child and Youth Mental Health Services Continuing Care Team is a single team operating over two sites (Robina and Southport) offering ongoing care coordination and therapeutic care for children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems. CYMHS CCT works with the child, young person and their family and key stakeholders.
