The opportunity

As a Maternal and Child Health Sleep and Settling Focus Nurse, you'll play an key role in supporting children and families within the Hobsons Bay community. Working within the Community Child Health Service, you'll deliver specialist sleep and settling support through outreach and telehealth, while also contributing to high-quality universal Maternal and Child Health services that promote healthy child development and positive family outcomes.

What you’ll do

- Provide high-quality Maternal and Child Health services that support children's health, development and family wellbeing.

- Monitor, report on and support achievement of Sleep and Settling program outcomes and targets.
- Provide comprehensive Maternal and Child Health services including assessment, health promotion and early intervention.
- Build strong partnerships with families, health professionals and community services to support coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate client records and contribute to continuous improvement and professional development activities.

What you need to succeed





- Qualifications in Division 1 Nursing, Midwifery and Child & Family Health Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
- Extensive Maternal and Child Health nursing experience in community or local government settings.
- Strong expertise in the Sleep and Settling Model of Care and supporting complex family presentations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Sound clinical judgement, leadership capability and proficiency with digital systems such as CDIS.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Record Check, a Pre-Employment Medical Check, Qualification Check and a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Candidates must also hold a valid Victorian Driver's License.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa with full unrestricted working rights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitment process.
