Osborne Richardson are the lead in Government Environmental and Scientific roles in Queensland. On this occasion, we have partnered with QBuild to find a Project Lead to drive their Environmental Management System uplift. A Truly unique, and great, opportunity to lead genuine organisational change right in the heart of Queensland's built workplace sector.

This AO7/1 contract sits within QBuild's Customer and Professional Services transformation program, based at their AM60 Building in Brisbane's CBD. You'll drive the planning, design and embedding of a new Environmental Management System across QBuild's operations, working closely with environmental specialists and stakeholders at every level.

What's on offer:

A contract running from late October 2026 to 29 October 2027, with a possible 18-month extension, at $88.29 per hour. The role will be based in Brisbane's CBD with a genuinely meaningful mandate to shape how a major Queensland Government agency manages its environmental footprint.

What you'll be doing:

- Leading end-to-end delivery of a complex EMS implementation project, from planning through to delivery assurance
- Driving governance, risk and issue management across the project lifecycle
- Engaging stakeholders from operational teams right up to executive level
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, schedules and budgets
- Developing business cases, project documentation, implementation plans and performance reporting




- Managing vendors and contractors to deliver measurable outcomes
- Championing organisational change so the EMS gets genuinely embedded, not just ticked off

What we're looking for:

1. Extensive project management experience leading complex business transformation or system implementation projects from initiation through to delivery
2. Strong governance, reporting, risk and issue management capability
3. Proven stakeholder engagement skills across operational, technical and executive audiences
4. Experience delivering environmental, regulatory, governance, compliance or enterprise management system projects within large, complex organisations
5. Solid grounding in project management methodologies and frameworks
6. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience developing business cases and implementation plans
7. Experience driving organisational change and managing vendors or contractors to deliver measurable business outcomes

Highly regarded, but not essential, will be experience implementing or uplifting an EMS aligned with ISO 14001, government or public sector experience, and a background in construction, infrastructure, asset management, facilities or property.
