We are currently seeking a Mechanical Trades Assistant to join an established business based in Acacia Ridge.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded and enjoys practical hands-on work. You’ll be working alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining valuable exposure to mechanical work and developing your skills on the job.
About the Role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Assisting tradespeople with mechanical repairs, maintenance and servicing
- Preparing tools, parts and equipment
- General workshop duties and housekeeping
- Assisting with basic welding and fabrication
- Using workshop tools and equipment
- Supporting the team with general mechanical and maintenance tasks
About You
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on and keen to learn. You don’t need extensive experience — mechanical aptitude and the right attitude are what matter most.
You will ideally have:
- Good mechanical aptitude and an interest in machinery
- A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
- The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and a reliable approach to work
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in mechanical trades
Welding or fabrication experience and a current forklift ticket will be highly regarded.
