Registered Nurse Grade 2 – Specialist Clinics and Outpatient Pathology

· Ongoing, Full Time / Part Time opportunity – up to 76 Hours per Fortnight

· Up to $107,510 (prorated for part time) + salary packaging + super + five weeks annual leave

About the team

Specialist Clinics and Outpatient Pathology provide an essential service within Peter Mac, supporting patients throughout their cancer care journey. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the team delivers high-quality outpatient care, clinical assessment, pathology services, and treatment support, ensuring patients receive safe, coordinated, and compassionate care. The service is committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and providing an exceptional patient experience.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse Grade 2 to join our Specialist Clinics and Outpatient Pathology team in an ongoing part-time position. This role offers the opportunity to work across both clinical areas, developing a broad and specialised skill set while delivering patient-centred care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the assessment, treatment, and ongoing support of patients, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety. A regular day will see you:

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and support the delivery of high-quality outpatient care.

- Provide specialised nursing care including CVAD management, cannulation,



and wound care.

- Recognise and respond appropriately to deteriorating patients, ensuring timely escalation and intervention.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, coordinated, and patient-centred care.

About you

You are a compassionate and adaptable nursing professional who thrives in a busy clinical workplace and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enjoy working collaboratively, and are dedicated to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth.

You'll bring with you:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

- Demonstrated experience in acute care nursing.

- Strong clinical assessment skills and experience managing deteriorating patients.

- Experience with Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) care.

- Competency in cannulation and wound management.

- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and high-quality patient care.
