About the role:
An chance for an experienced support worker to join a team of nurses for a boy aged 2 with Dravet Syndrome. He is prone to severe seizures that can lead to intubation or rescuciation, but otherwise a health, active little boy.

You will work along side a nurse, ready for a 2:1 emergency seizure response.

Workers should have extensive experience with seizure management and peadiatric experience.

The role requires an element of "nanny" including playing and entertaining to provide parents with much needed sleep or respite.

To join the team you will:

- Live within 30minutes of Mornington

- Have extensive experience with seizure emergency management





- Have extensive experience with critical thinking and acting in emergency setting including resuscitation

- Instrinsic common sense and initative

- Enjoy playing with super energetic 2 year olds

- Shifts available are Days 7.30am to 4:30pm

We are looking for an immediate start for the right candidate.

You must have;

- Valid Australian Driver’s License

- Valid CPR Certificate

- Proof of rights to work in Australia

- NDIS Worker Screener Check

The successful candidate will have:

- Relevant experience in community disability care

- Reliable

- Exceptional critical thinking

- Able to commit to the same shifts weekly - ideally 2 shifts per week

This position pays $50ph weekdays with penalities applicable for nights and weekends as per award.
