Aston Consulting is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Sydney team, leading the delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects and playing a key role in the continued growth of our business.

This is an opportunity for an experienced building services professional who is ready to take the next step in their career — combining technical expertise with project leadership, client relationships and team development.

About the Role

As Associate Director, you will take a senior role across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects, working closely with clients, architects, project managers, contractors and our internal engineering teams.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading the delivery of multidisciplinary building services projects from concept through to completion

- Providing technical direction, design oversight and strategic engineering advice

- Managing project scope, programme, resources and delivery outcomes

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

- Leading and mentoring engineers and supporting the development of the wider team

- Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering services to deliver integrated project outcomes

- Reviewing technical documentation, designs and project deliverables

- Identifying project opportunities and contributing to business development and new work

- Representing Aston in client meetings, project discussions and industry engagements





- Supporting the continued growth and development of Aston’s Sydney operations

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a confident and experienced engineering professional with:

- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in building services engineering

- Experience delivering and managing multidisciplinary engineering projects

- Strong technical understanding across building services

- Proven experience managing client relationships and project stakeholders

- Strong project management, communication and leadership skills

- The ability to lead teams while remaining engaged with technical project outcomes

- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to project delivery

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- A degree in Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
