About the role

You will take responsibility for helping keep our kitchen, equipment and storage areas exceptionally clean, organised and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

- General kitchen wash-up including dishes, cookware, utensils and equipment

- Cleaning floors, walls, benches and kitchen work areas

- Maintaining clean and organised cool rooms, freezers and dry stores

- Deep cleaning kitchen equipment and designated areas

- Ensuring equipment is cleaned, stored correctly and ready for service

- Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards

- Managing rubbish, recycling and food waste areas

- Keeping bin and back-of-house areas clean and organised

- Restocking and assisting with kitchen organisation

- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation and other kitchen duties when required

- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work

- Has a strong work ethic and is happy to get involved

- Has excellent attention to detail

- Enjoys keeping a workplace clean and organised

- Can work efficiently during busy services





- Communicates well and enjoys being part of a team

- Understands food safety and kitchen hygiene

- Is comfortable in a physically active role involving standing, lifting and cleaning

- Has Australian working rights

- Previous commercial kitchen or hospitality experience is desirable, but attitude, reliability and work ethic are equally important
