Miniquip is seeking a enthusiastic Fleet / Yard Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Forrestdale, preferably with some previous hire experience. This is a full time role position that plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our depot and fleet of equipment. As a small team we take great pride in the presentation of our trucks, machinery and yard. The employee we seek, would work closely with the Fleet Controllers, Workshop and Wash Bay crew to keep daily yard operations flowing efficiently.
What you'll be doing:
YARD
Organizing and maintaining an efficient layout of the hire equipment and other materials to ensure a safe and tidy work environment.
- Conducting Pre-Hire and Off-Hire Inspections when equipment goes out and when returned.
- Assisting truck drivers with load/unload of deliveries, when required
- Assisting customers with equipment handovers and load/unload of pickups
- Assisting wash bay with cleaning of returned machinery, when required.
- Refueling of trucks and equipment ready for hire
OFFICE
- Taking calls and managing hire bookings (in time with training)
- Greeting clients and ensuring contracts/paperwork is thoroughly completed
- Communicating with other yard hands, wash bay and truck drivers to keep operations running smoothly.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in truck or equipment hire role (preferred but not essential)
- Intermediate computer skills, good organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and capable candidate, that likes to get their hands dirty also able to pass drug & alcohol screening if required
- A positive, proactive, safe and team orientated attitude to get the job done!
