About the role and brand

We are looking for a motivated and organised Operations Manager to join our team.

This is a broad, hands-on operations role responsible for the successful day-to-day delivery and ongoing development of TRL's competitions, programs and events.

The role will involve managing certain aspects of our adult and junior competitions; delivering our junior and Billy's Buddies programs; as well as assisting with the delivery of our Events.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of TRL competitions, including adult and junior competitions

- Coordinate staff, coaches and referees (including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, communication and ongoing management).

- Manage the administration and customer service associated with competitions and programs.

- Coordinate and support the delivery of TRL programs, including TRL Juniors and Billy's Buddies.

- Support the planning and delivery of TRL events, including Elite Events and other events throughout the annual calendar.

- Contribute to revenue and growth, including identifying opportunities to increase participation, improve retention, develop programs and support marketing and customer acquisition.

- Take on other operational projects and responsibilities as required, with the role evolving throughout the year according to the needs and priorities of the business.

About you

We are looking for someone who is motivated, reliable, organised and ready to take ownership.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A genuine interest in sports management,



operations and business growth;

- Previous management, coaching, customer service or sport experience;

- Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities;

- Excellent communication and customer service skills;

- The ability to lead, coordinate and work effectively with staff and coaches;

- A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving how things are done;

- A willingness to be hands-on and involved in the day-to-day delivery of our programs and competitions;

- A tertiary qualification in sports management, business or a related field is desirable, but not essential.

Role requirements

This is an all-encompassing operations role. No two days will necessarily look the same, and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable moving between administration, people management, customer service, competition operations and growth activities.

The role will require:

- Full-time availability.

- Must be available to work Monday to Thursday evenings.

- Current driver's licence and access to a car.

- Valid Blue Card, or ability to obtain one.

- Current First Aid/CPR qualification, or willingness to obtain.
