Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial performance and strategic direction of Grove's businesses. The role is responsible for analysing financial and operational data, preparing insightful reports and forecasts, identifying key trends and variances, and translating financial information into practical insights and recommendations to support informed business decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports across Grove's group of businesses.
- Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying key trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
- Prepare monthly reporting and provide commentary on actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Investigate material variances and work with relevant stakeholders to understand underlying drivers.
- Develop financial models, reports and analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
- Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators and provide insights to management.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and regular financial forecasts.
- Analyse revenue, costs, margins and profitability across the Group.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual, repetitive and inefficient finance processes.
- Develop dashboards and visual reports that provide clear and actionable insights.
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting
- CA or CPA qualification or studying towards
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Industry
- High degree of skills and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
- Experience and proficiency in using MYOB and Pronto ERP systems, or similar systems
- Advanced Excel, data modelling
- Solid ability to analyse financial and operational data, identify trends, variances and opportunities, and provide meaningful insights
- Experience developing budgets, forecasts, financial models and scenario analysis
- Ability to prepare accurate, insightful and easy-to-understand financial reports for management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and develop practical solutions
