About the role

Working from our Townsville workshop, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of heavy commercial vehicles and equipment. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of vehicles and projects, including Defence-related equipment, making this a great role for someone who enjoys developing their skills and tackling different mechanical challenges.

Key responsibilities

- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance

- Mechanical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs

- Component replacement and general mechanical repairs

- Inspection and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles

- Working on Defence vehicles and equipment

- Completing accurate service and maintenance documentation

- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

- Working independently as well as part of a team





- Assisting with additional maintenance requirements as required

About you

- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

- Previous experience working on heavy commercial vehicles

- Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills

- Excellent attention to detail

- A solid commitment to safety and quality

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A current driver's licence

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Experience working on Defence vehicles or equipment will be highly regarded
