Key responsibilities:

- Assist with the installation, dismantling, climbing, servicing and maintenance of tower cranes.

- Rig, sling, lift and position tower crane components during erection and dismantling.

- Assemble and disassemble mast sections, jibs, counter-jibs, counterweights, crane ties and other crane components.

- Assist with commissioning, testing and adjustment of tower cranes following installation, climbing, servicing or repairs.

- Inspect crane components and identify and report damage, wear, faults or defects.

- Inspect and safely use slings, shackles, chains and other rigging and lifting equipment.

- Assist with loading and unloading tower crane components and equipment.

- Work safely at heights using appropriate fall-arrest and access systems.

- Guide loads and communicate with crane operators and other crew using radios and hand signals.





- Work closely with crane operators, riggers, technicians and site personnel to safely complete crane operations.

Licenses, competencies & skills required:

- Current Driver’s Licence

- High Risk Work Licence – Dogman (DG), Intermediate Rigging Licence (RB), Working at heights

- Understanding of cranes and/or similar equipment

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently

- Strong leadership and decision making skills

Preferred but Not Essential

- Previous experience in a similar role or within the industry, training will be provided to the right candidate
