About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Pump Station project team and oversee switchroom installation and electrical infrastructure works.
You'll supervise a team of electricians and TAs, ensuring works are carried out safely, to program, and in accordance with project quality and compliance requirements. This is a hands-on, site-based supervisory role covering switchroom (HV & LV), transformer/MCC, cabling, and instrumentation installation works.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage electrical subcontractors and installation crews to ensure works are completed safely, to program, and in accordance with Hancock Iron Ore's Principal Project Requirements
- Coordinate installation, testing and Stage 1 (Construction Verification) commissioning of switchroom, transformer, MCC, field instrumentation and cabling works, including insulation resistance/continuity testing and Mines Record Book entries
- Raise, track and help resolve Technical Queries relating to E&I; scope on site
- Provide day-to-day input to the construction program, progress reporting, and resourcing/material status updates
- Liaise with the project engineering team and other discipline supervisors to resolve interface issues between electrical works and civil, structural and mechanical scope
Minimum Requirements
- Current WA Electrical Licence
- Completed Section 26 training with full endorsement (essential)
- Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience on industrial or mining construction projects
- Positive working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000
- Sound working knowledge of HV switchroom, transformer/MCC installation, cable reticulation and earthing
- Current Workplace First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) certificate
- Willingness and ability to work a 2/1 FIFO roster
- C Class WA Drivers Licence
Desirable:
- Elevated Work Platform (WP Class) HRWL
- Working at Heights (W@H) ticket
- Forklift licence (LF Class) HRWL
- HV cable termination competency/authorisation
- Inhouse nominee
