RGM Maintenance is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our fast-paced Townsville Branch.

Our Branch is a fast-paced Daimler Trucks Dealership showcasing Mercedes Benz, Freightliner and Fuso, however, we do not limit ourselves to only our brands. RGM works on Defence Vehicles, Fuel tankers and basically anything that comes through the door.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step up from an administration or customer service role in another industry and transition into the transport and mechanical sector. You don’t need a background in trucks or mechanics to succeed — we’ll provide all the support you need to thrive.

We want someone who is organised, able to work well under pressure and isn’t afraid of a challenge.

About the role

As our Service Advisor, you'll be responsible for managing the customer journey, from booking vehicles in through to completion. You'll work closely with our technicians and customers to ensure jobs are communicated clearly, completed efficiently and delivered to a high standard. This is a key customer-facing role where you'll be the link between our customers and our workshop team — making sure every customer receives clear communication, exceptional service and a great experience from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

- Welcoming customers and providing professional, friendly service

- Managing vehicle bookings and coordinating workshop schedules





- Preparing quotes and obtaining customer approvals

- Communicating vehicle requirements and repair recommendations

- Keeping customers informed throughout the repair process

- Liaising closely with technicians and the workshop team

- Invoicing and closing out completed jobs

- Building strong, long-term relationships with customers

- Identifying opportunities to provide additional value and maintain customer vehicles

About you

- Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar automotive customer service role

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Good automotive knowledge and an understanding of vehicle servicing and repairs

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills

- The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment

- A positive, can-do attitude

- Strong attention to detail and pride in getting things right

- Someone who takes ownership, works well with a team and cares about delivering a great customer experience
