Job description:
Reddam House Early Learning School is located just a 3-minute walk from Bondi Junction, our purpose-built centre offers state-of-the-art facilities and a nurturing environment where educators and children thrive together.
As a casual educator (2-5 days per week), you'll work alongside passionate colleagues to deliver meaningful learning experiences that foster independence, creativity, and a love of discovery. You'll support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development through play-based and child-led learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Room Leader in delivering an engaging, inquiry-based program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, catering to the developmental needs of children aged 1-5 years.
- Maintain comprehensive and ongoing documentation of each child's development, using reflective practices to inform planning and individualised support.
- Conduct observations, assessments, and plan for a small group of children, ensuring their holistic development.
- Curate stimulating and developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor learning environments that inspire curiosity and creativity.
- Foster meaningful, respectful partnerships with families, providing regular updates and involving them in their child's learning journey.
- Collaborate with the broader team to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning culture, contributing to team planning and professional growth.
- Ensure a secure and nurturing environment that meets both regulatory requirements and Reddam House's high standards of care and safety.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Experience in early childhood education, with a demonstrated passion for supporting young children's development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build cooperative relationships with colleagues, children, and families.
- Adaptability and openness to continuous professional development, staying updated on best practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to contribute to team planning and work collaboratively to create a positive, inclusive environment.
- Passionate and nurturing, with a genuine interest in fostering children's learning and development.

- A sound understanding of, or willingness to engage with, the Reggio Emilia philosophy and child-led learning.
- Willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program and school community.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate III, Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards these qualifications.
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or the ability to obtain one.
- ACECQA-approved qualifications.
