Morson Edge Recruitment are currently working with an established and reputable fire protection business that is growing their team and looking for an experienced Electrical Fire Panel Technician to join them.

This is a great prospect for a technician who has strong fire alarm and FIP experience, enjoys the technical side of the industry and is looking for a long-term role with a supportive company.

You’ll be working across a variety of commercial sites including commercial, education, aged care and retail, carrying out testing, servicing, fault finding, repairs and maintenance.

The Role:

- Testing, servicing and maintaining fire alarm and electrical fire systems
- Fault finding, diagnostics and rectification works
- FIP fault finding, programming and modifications
- Panel programming and commissioning
- Working across systems including Pertronic, Notifier, Ampac and other major brands
- Carrying out works in line with AS1851 and relevant BCA requirements
- Attending breakdowns and call-outs when required
- Completing service reports and relevant documentation
- Working across a range of commercial sites throughout Sydney
- Dealing directly with clients and representing the business professionally

What we’re looking for:

- Electrical trade qualification/licence




- Solid experience within the fire protection industry
- Strong fire alarm and panel experience
- Experience with Pertronic, Notifier, Ampac or similar systems
- Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of AS1851 and BCA requirements
- Current NSW Driver Licence
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Open cabling licence would be an advantage
