Laing O’Rourke, with joint venture partner Amentum Australia, will play a central role in supporting Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to develop and deliver the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. We will provide program and construction management services of nuclear related civil infrastructure, site‑wide nuclear licensee development expertise, and nuclear safety leadership.

We are currently seeking a Construction Planner to join our AUKUS team
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate project resources, supporting workforce capability development and high-performance outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with organisational planning processes, industry standards, and project control best practices.
- Administer and manage contract-related time obligations
- Provide strategic planning expertise and innovative solutions to support project success.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote high standards of performance, quality and professionalism across project teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
- Be a part of a collaborative, flexible and high-performing team culture that encourages accountability, innovation and continuous development.
- Support a positive and rewarding work environment that recognises achievements and celebrates success.
About You
- Solid experience in Project Planning on large-scale construction projects.
- Existing knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processes
- Strong leadership skills with prior exposure managing a team would be highly beneficial.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g. ISO 9001:2015), Industry Codes and Procedures.
- Previous experience with Project Document Management Systems.
- Business or engineering degree (desirable).
- Lead auditor qualification.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
