Storesperson/Cook – Local Kalgoorlie Camp

$80,000–$90,000 per annum, depending on experience & qualifications
Approximately 38–45 hours per week | Hours to be defined, but may be 7:00am–4:00pm

Drummond Catering is seeking an experienced Storesperson/Cook to join our team at a local camp in Kalgoorlie.

This is a hands-on role combining stores and food-safety responsibilities with daily kitchen support. The successful candidate will be a qualified Chef or experienced Cook with strong HACCP knowledge and the ability to maintain accurate receiving, storage and food-safety controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive and inspect food, consumables and other site deliveries.

- Check delivered goods against purchase orders and delivery dockets.

- Record delivery temperatures and reject non-compliant products where required.

- Inspect packaging, product condition, use-by dates and signs of contamination or temperature abuse.

- Sign and accurately complete delivery and receiving documentation.

- Store goods promptly and correctly in dry, chilled and frozen storage areas.

- Maintain stock rotation using FIFO and FEFO principles.

- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, wastage and storage conditions.

- Maintain clean, organised and compliant storerooms, cool rooms and freezers.

- Complete HACCP and Food Safety Management Plan records accurately.

- Monitor and record fridge, freezer, cooking, cooling and holding temperatures.

- Assist with food preparation, cooking and meal service as required.

- Support safe thawing, cooling, reheating and allergen-control practices.





- Identify and report food-safety concerns or non-conformances immediately.

- Assist with cleaning, sanitation and general kitchen duties throughout the day.

- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and site management team.

Essential Requirements

- Qualified Chef or experienced Cook with demonstrated commercial kitchen experience.

- Proven HACCP experience, knowledge and training.

- Sound understanding of food receiving, temperature control, storage and stock rotation.

- Knowledge of food safety, allergen management and contamination prevention.

- Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities.

- Reliable, organised and physically capable of safely handling stock and deliveries.

- Current Australian driver’s licence.

- Full Australian working rights.

- Ability to complete pre-employment screening and site requirements.

- Competitive salary of $80,000–$90,000, based on qualifications and experience.

- Local Kalgoorlie position with no FIFO travel required & typically no weekend work.

- Predominantly daytime hours of approximately 7:00am–4:00pm.
