We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our welcoming team at Werribee Mercy Hospital. This role is primarily focused on coordinating MRI bookings for both inpatient and outpatient services within a busy public hospital setting, making it ideal for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming patients and managing front desk enquiries.
- Coordinate and manage MRI bookings for inpatient and outpatient appointments.
- Answer and direct incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
- Maintain accurate patient records and data entry with a high level of attention to detail.
- Liaise effectively with patients, medical professionals, referring practitioners, and internal teams.
- Process billing and banking tasks, including Medicare, DVA, health funds, and WorkCover transactions.
About You
- Previous reception, administration,
or customer service experience, ideally within a healthcare environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- A professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy team environment.
