The Role
A great opportunity exists for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join Glencore Mount Isa Mines within the Copper Smelter Maintenance team.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Electrical Maintenance (Copper Smelter), this residential position will see you join the Electrical leadership group and provide visible supervision across the Electrical & Technical Instruments team.
You will be responsible for effectively coordinating and supervising a team of electrical and instrumentation personnel carrying out maintenance, calibration, projects and minor installation work across the Copper Smelter and Environmental assets.

Working closely with Electrical, Operations, Engineering and other key stakeholders, you will ensure electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and within required timeframes, while supporting production targets, statutory compliance and continuous
improvement.

The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrical maintenance leader to take responsibility for the coordination and supervision of the Electrical Maintenance and Tech Instrument team, while providing broader support to the Electrical Maintenance function.

You will play an important role in planning and controlling maintenance activities, managing contractors and shutdown work, supporting capital and operational projects, and developing a high-performing team focused on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and control shift maintenance operations to optimise the use of available resources.
- Plan and coordinate the Tech Instrument team and associated maintenance activities.
- Provide support to the broader Electrical Maintenance teams.
- Coordinate and complete operational and capital electrical projects.
- Provide supervision and oversight of electrical contractors.
- Manage crew performance through effective leadership, coaching and development.
- Coordinate and manage shutdown maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and workplace inspections.
- Build and maintain an effective team through coaching, mentoring and positive role modelling.
- Ensure electrical safety and statutory compliance across the area of responsibility.
- Support environmental maintenance targets and compliance requirements.
- Identify and deliver electrical continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support supervisors and the management team to achieve maintenance and production targets.
- Promote a constructive,



accountable and collaborative team culture.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Experience Required
The successful applicant will have:

- Trade Qualified Electrical Mechanic or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience within an operating fixed plant process environment or similar.
- Proven experience supervising electrical maintenance teams within a complex industrial or processing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical maintenance, instrumentation and associated systems.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating contractors, projects and shutdown activities.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and statutory compliance requirements.
- SAP experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Project, Excel and Word.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work within a fast-paced operating environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of work.
- A strong commitment to safety as a core personal value.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an integrated and diverse team.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement practical improvements.
