Buon Appetit in Camden is looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand / Wash-Up Person / Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team.

We are a high-volume, family-owned Italian restaurant and need someone who already understands how a commercial kitchen operates and can keep up during rapid-paced services.

This is an important role in our kitchen. We need someone who is reliable, organised, works quickly and takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean, protected and running smoothly.

Your duties will include:
Operating the commercial dishwasher
Washing plates, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
Keeping the wash-up area clean and organised
Maintaining clean floors and work areas throughout service
Emptying bins and managing waste
Cleaning kitchen equipment and back-of-house areas
Assisting chefs with basic preparation when required
Restocking clean equipment and keeping kitchen sections supplied
Following cleaning schedules and food safety procedures
Helping with end-of-night kitchen cleaning and close-down

We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience as a kitchen hand, dishwasher or kitchen porter
Has worked in a busy commercial kitchen before
Can work quickly and efficiently during high-volume services
Is physically fit and comfortable with a demanding role




Is reliable and punctual
Can work independently without constant supervision
Has good attention to cleanliness and hygiene
Works well with chefs and the wider kitchen team
Is available to work evenings and weekends
