We are looking for a friendly, reliable and engaging support worker to support an 18-year-old female NDIS participant who lives independently in Pakenham.
The participant has low-level autism and is working towards becoming more independent, including building confidence in the community, attending appointments and working towards goals such as finding employment.
Pay
$40 per hour
$0.80 per kilometre for approved travel during the shift
The Role
The support worker will assist with:
Transporting and supporting the participant to attend appointments, particularly on Fridays
Community access and social engagement
Building confidence and independence
Supporting employment-related goals, such as job searching, applications and attending relevant appointments
Encouraging daily living skills and routines
Providing companionship and engaging in appropriate activities
Completing light cleaning and household tasks in the participant’s unit when required
We are looking for someone who is patient, encouraging and proactive, and who can build a positive working relationship with a young participant while still promoting independence rather than doing everything for her.

Reliable and punctual
Previous experience supporting people preferred
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with young adults and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to become more independent.
Location: Pakenham, VIC
Hours: 10 hours per week across Wednesday and Friday
Rate: $40/hour + $0.80/km travel
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9.0 – 12.0 per week
