About the Role
Contemporary Catering is looking for an experienced Chef to join our aged-care catering team in Rooty Hill.
We are particularly interested in chefs with experience in South American cuisine, including Brazilian, Peruvian, Colombian, Argentinian or Chilean cooking.
You’ll be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals for our residents, while catering to individual dietary and texture requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in a commercial kitchen
Cater to dietary and texture-modified requirements, including IDDSI
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and care teams
Assist with menu planning, ordering and stock control
Minimise food waste and maintain appropriate stock levels
Provide variety and culturally appropriate meals for residents

About You




Commercial kitchen experience as a Chef
Passion for fresh, quality food
Experience or robust knowledge of South American cuisine
Ability to work confidently in a high-volume environment
Robust food safety and hygiene practices
Understanding of dietary requirements
Good communication and teamwork skills
Relevant Cooking qualifications
Australian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship

Aged-care and IDDSI experience are desirable
