About the role
As a Disability Support Worker, you'll provide adaptable, participant-focused support across a range of settings in and around Ormeau. This role suits someone who enjoys variety and is confident supporting different individuals with diverse needs.
Key responsibilities
Provide person-centred support to a range of participants (not limited to a single client)
Assist with daily living activities including personal care, domestic tasks, and community access
Support participants to build independence and achieve their goals
Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
Respond appropriately in emergency situations to ensure safety
Build positive, respectful, and skilled relationships with participants and their families
Adhere to infection control and organisational policies
About you
Valid driver's licence
Reliable, insured vehicle
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Police Check
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to support multiple participants across different environments
Flexibility and willingness to learn, with the ability to take on additional hours as required
Availability for long shifts, active overnight (sleepover) shifts, and varied rosters
