This is a professional accounting position with responsibility for financial reporting, analysis, statutory compliance, financial controls and providing management with accurate financial information to support business decision-making.
Key responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
Prepare BAS, IAS and calculate GST obligations.
Review journal entries, general ledger accounts and month-end and year-end reconciliations.
Review financial results and identify differences between actual expenditure, budgets and financial records.
Analyse manufacturing, production and distribution costs, including inventory and related financial transactions.
Monitor payroll tax, PAYG withholding and year-end STP.
Review historical financial performance and prepare reports for management.
Review accounting controls and investigate financial discrepancies or unusual transactions.
Monitor cash flow,
working capital and foreign exchange transactions relating to imported products.
Liaise with tax agents and external auditors and prepare supporting financial reports and reconciliations.
Assist with the integration of Cin7 Core with the company's accounting systems to improve the accuracy of financial information.
Ensure financial reporting complies with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant accounting requirements.
Provide management with advice on accounting, compliance and financial matters.
About you
A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
Previous experience in a qualified accounting role.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Robust communication skills and the ability to work with management, tax agents and auditors.
