Irvine Smash Repairs is looking for a dedicated and experienced Automotive Welder to join our team in Malaga, WA. This role specialises in cutting, patching, and attaching vehicle body panels and structural parts.

Employment Details:

· Job Type: Permanent, full-time

· Schedule: 6 days a week

· Salary:$77,000 AUD - $80,000 per year

Core Responsibilities:

·Precision Cutting: Expertly cut and remove damaged vehicle body panels or frame sections.

·Fabrication & Patching: Fabricate, shape, and fit custom patch panels to restore vehicle integrity.

·Structural Reattachment: Seamlessly weld replacement parts back onto the vehicle body and chassis.

Key Requirements

Minimum Skilled work experience required: 1 -2 years.

Welding Expertise: High proficiency in MIG/MAG (CO2) welding and spot welding.

Cutting Tools:



Extensive experience operating plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, and angle grinders.

Thin Metal Handling: Proven ability to weld thin sheet metals without causing thermal distortion or burn-through.

Technical Skills: Ability to read technical blueprints and use precision measuring tools for perfect part alignment.

Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to workshops on safety protocols and consistent use of full personal protective equipment(PPE).

Required Equipment & Gear (Candidates must be familiar with or provide)

Machinery: MIG/MAG welding machines, plasma cutters, and industrial grinders.

Hand Tools: Auto-darkening welding helmets, professional C-clamps, and metal locking pliers.

Safety Gear: Fire-resistant leather welding jackets, heavy-duty gloves, and steel-toed boots.
