Occupational Therapist Needed – Fortnightly NDIS Support

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to work approximately once a fortnight with an autistic teenager who is an NDIS participant.

The goal is to build practical skills, confidence, and independence through participant-centred support. Areas of focus may include:

Daily living skills, such as cooking, laundry, personal care, cleaning, and organisation

Time management, planning, and establishing routines

Executive functioning, including task initiation, prioritisation, problem-solving, and adapting to change

Study strategies and preparation for future employment

Community access, public transport, shopping, appointments, and personal safety

Budgeting and everyday money management

Communication, social participation, boundaries, and conflict resolution

Emotional and sensory regulation

Motor, coordination, typing, and other practical skills





Healthy routines, including sleep, exercise, medication organisation, and preparation for healthcare appointments

Exploring hobbies, setting personal goals, and building confidence

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who:

Is appropriately qualified and registered

Has experience supporting autistic teenagers and young adults

Understands the NDIS and participant-centred practice

Is patient, dependable, respectful, and encouraging

Can provide practical, strengths-based support tailored to the participant’s individual goals
