North Star Partners is supporting a large Australian organisation looking for an experienced Identity Engineer to join a complex enterprise technology workplace.

12-month contract to begin with. Sydney is the preferred location, but we're open to people in all East Coast major cities.

The role will focus heavily on application onboarding, migration and identity integration across a large application estate.

This is not just an IAM administration role.

What you’ll be doing
Onboard and migrate applications into the existing Identity & Access Management ecosystem, working across Entra ID, SailPoint and CyberArk
Design and implement identity integrations, connectors and automated workflows using APIs, scripting and integration frameworks
Partner with application teams to establish authentication, authorisation, provisioning and privileged access patterns across cloud and enterprise applications
Investigate and resolve complex identity and integration issues across applications, APIs, directories and access platforms
Take ownership of technical delivery from planning through to completion, working closely with engineers, application owners,



cyber teams and other stakeholders

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with a strong engineering mindset who is comfortable working with APIs, automation, integration patterns and the core Identity stack.
Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, SailPoint and CyberArk , with practical experience supporting identity platforms in complex enterprise environments
We need someone who can operate beyond the toolset and understand how identity solutions work across the broader application workplace.
You should be comfortable assessing how an application authenticates, how users should be provisioned, what access model is required and how the application should integrate into the organisation’s identity ecosystem.
This is a large and complex workplace, so autonomy and sound judgement are important.
Experience building or customising SailPoint connectors, Entra integrations, CyberArk integrations, workflow automation or API-driven identity solutions would be particularly valuable.
