Alice Tax - Alice Springs

Role Description

· Preparing and reviewing income tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.

· Preparing BAS, IAS, taxable payments annual reports and other compliance lodgements.

· Assisting with tax planning and providing practical taxation and business advice.

· Managing a portfolio of clients and responding to their day-to-day queries.

· Working closely with builders and trades on their accounting, taxation and reporting requirements.

· Reviewing bookkeeping, payroll, bank reconciliations and client records.

· Preparing management reports, budgets and cash-flow forecasts.

· Assisting construction clients with job costing, work-in-progress reporting and financial forecasting.

· Liaising with the ATO and other external parties on client matters.

· Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members.





· Working closely with the Director on client matters and advisory work.

Applicant Criteria

· Completed Bachelor of Business or Commerce (Accounting)

· Has at least three years of experience in public practice or business services accounting

· Eligibility to commence, or current progress towards, a CA or CPA qualification

· Has experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across different business structures

· Is confident using Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Excel and accounting software

· Can manage deadlines and work independently

· Communicates confidently and professionally with clients

· Has robust attention to detail and takes ownership of their work

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
