About us

I run Axis Freight Management out of Brisbane. Started small, built it up over time, and we've now got a mixed fleet of semis, rigid trucks and vans doing regular work for a solid base of long-term clients. A big part of what we do is construction and flatbed work.

We're still growing. I look after my drivers because without them there's no business — easy as that.

The job

Need an experienced semi driver for flatbed work, mainly construction freight. Loads, securing, and getting to site on time — this isn't a walk in the park, so you need to know what you're doing.
Drive semi with flatbed trailer, mostly construction-related loads
Load, secure and tarp/strap freight properly for the job
Follow run sheets and get to sites on time
Keep in contact with us and customers about pickups/delays
Look after the truck, tell me if anything's wrong with it
Turn up, do the job properly, represent the business well

What you need




Valid HC licence
Solid flatbed experience — load restraint, chains, straps, tarps, the lot
Construction site experience a big plus
Transparent English, spoken and written — you'll be reading run sheets and talking to customers, dispatch and site staff
Reliable and punctual
Clean driving record

Drug and alcohol free workplace

This one's non-negotiable. Pre-employment and random testing, no exceptions. We're moving freight on public roads and onto construction sites — I'm not messing around with this.
