As the Tasting Room Manager, you will play a hands-on role in overseeing and developing the tasting and tourism experience at the Outstanding Northern Distillery. You will lead by example in demonstrating exceptional customer service, further elevating the customer experience across tasting and tourism products. You will be self-motivated and able to work effectively as both part of a small team and unsupervised on your own. As well as managing the day-to-day operation and administration requirements of the Tasting Room, you will play a key role in developing and executing the Tasting Room business model within the limits of overarching policies.
Key responsibilities
Administration of casual bar staff
Maintenance of the Tasting Room physical assets
Direct to Customer strategies including designing new tourism and tasting offerings
Developing existing and new Tasting Room events
Ensuring that legislative obligations are met and/or exceeded
Providing a protected and positive experience for visitors
Ensuring a safe workplace for Tasting Room staff
Stock and consumables control
Assisting in the organisation and management of functions and events
About you
Experience managing a team (preferably in a hospitality, tourism or cellar door setting)
Ability to train and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences
Strong product knowledge
High standard of personal presentation and communication skills
Basic IT skills; experience working with online booking systems would be advantageous
Strong time management, organisational and administration skills
Possession of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) for WA and Approved Manager
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
Australian citizenship/residency or a valid Australian work visa
