About us

GiGi is a boutique Mediterranean restaurant and bar in Edge Hill, and we're on the up. In a short time we've built a loyal following across breakfast, lunch and dinner with food that's honest, seasonal and full of flavour — small plates through to mains — matched with a responsible drinks list. We're at the stage where the right Head Chef can genuinely shape what we become next.

The role

We're looking for a full time Head Chef to lead our kitchen, Wednesday to Sunday. Your focus will be our lunch and dinner service where you'll drive the menu, quality and creativity. You'll also hold overall responsibility for the kitchen across every service, including breakfast, making sure standards and consistency are always met. It's a hands-on, on-the-line leadership role in a close-knit team, with real support from management and genuine room to shape the direction of the food.

What you'll do
Lead lunch and dinner service, driving menu development and creativity
Take overall responsibility for the kitchen across all services
Lead and mentor the kitchen team day to day
Manage ordering,



stock and food cost to agreed margins, and roster the kitchen team efficiently to service demand
Maintain kitchen compliance and food safety standards (HACCP)
Work closely with the manager on specials, functions and events

What you'll bring
Proven experience as a Head Chef or solid Sous Chef ready to step up
Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent trade qualification)
Confidence running a full menu and leading a team through service
Availability across our Wednesday–Sunday trade, including weekends
Mediterranean experience is a plus, not essential — a genuine love of good food matters more
