Our client is a household listed brand and one of the most highly sought after employers within the Melbourne market. This is an exciting prospect for an experience Finance Analyst to drive strategic insights, influence key decisions, and partner with stakeholders across a complex, customer-focused business.
Your key focus responsibilities will include:
Manage group month-end close in the consolidation system, identifying opportunities to streamline and optimise reporting
Own monthly group forecast uploads (P&L; and Balance Sheet), ensuring completeness and compliance with company requirements
Ensure monthly recharges and intercompany balances are accurate, complete, and correctly classified across regions
Support the group finance calendar (monthly, quarterly, annual requirements)
Lead global slow-moving and obsolete stock (SLOB) reviews per policy; partner with Supply Chain on a standard tactical approach
Calculate profit-in-stock and ensure appropriate provisions
Consolidate sales and marketing inputs into the monthly forecast; support the S&OP; process
Partner with Sales on pricing assumptions and rebate provisions
Partner with Marketing on ROI analysis for digital spend
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting,
and long-term planning
Monitor KPIs and provide variance analysis/commentary on business trends
Collaborate cross-functionally on business cases and strategic projects
Ensure data integrity across reporting systems, working with Finance/IT
Identify risks and prospects, recommending actions to improve outcomes
Support unified finance systems/processes across the business
The successful candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications in commerce or business, with accounting or finance majors.
Hold a CA or CPA qualification
Proven experience in a commercial, finance, or business analysis role, ideally in a complex/global organisation
Robust grasp of financial/commercial principles: budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis
Understanding of business performance metrics, financial modelling, and data interpretation
Exposure to pricing, margin analysis, and customer/brand/product profitability
Familiarity with ERP and BI tools
