The Network are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a Federal Government setting and support the delivery, optimisation and ongoing management of enterprise technology infrastructure.

This is a hands-on technical role covering cloud, virtualisation, infrastructure automation, IaC, cybersecurity, monitoring and DevOps .

12 month contract + extension options

Must be Canberra based and hold minimum NV1 security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
Provision, configure, maintain and optimise physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
Manage cloud and hybrid/multi-cloud environments and support infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
Develop automation using scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and orchestration tools .
Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability and security.
Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and security-related issues.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security and development/DevOps teams.
Support containerisation and up-to-date application deployment practices.
Drive automation, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.




Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Provide technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Criteria
Cloud & Infrastructure: Solid experience managing and optimising enterprise infrastructure across physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid environments.
Automation & IaC: Demonstrated experience with scripting, Infrastructure as Code, orchestration and automation technologies.
Technical Problem Solving: Proven ability to resolve complex infrastructure and security issues, drive continuous improvement and provide technical advice to stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

Experience with Azure/AWS, Terraform/Bicep, PowerShell/Python, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring tools and enterprise infrastructure platforms will be highly regarded.

Federal Government experience is highly desirable.
