ABOUT THE COMPANY

ROLE

We're looking for an experienced Waterproofing Inspector / Consultant to inspect waterproofing works and carry out pre-construction design reviews across Class 2 residential and commercial developments, identifying water ingress issues and preparing suitable remediation scopes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES




Inspect waterproofing works across Class 2 and commercial buildings, including bathrooms, balconies, rooftops, podiums and basements
Conduct desktop reviews of waterproofing design for Class 2 developments prior to construction
Assess compliance against drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, Australian Standards and the NCC
Prepare transparent inspection notes, photographic records and reports, with practical recommendations for rectification
Liaise with builders, contractors and consultants, and attend site meetings to provide technical input

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years' practical experience in construction waterproofing
Solid understanding of Class 2 buildings and multi-residential construction
Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code
Ability to identify poor workmanship and non-compliant waterproofing works
