About the role
Barwon Health Special Care Nursery is inviting applications from motivated Registered Nurses with a postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Nursing to join our Level 5 service.
Successful applicants will play an integral role in providing high-quality, family-centred care to premature, complex, and critically ill neonates and their families within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your neonatal nursing expertise within a progressive and expanding regional health service.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to premature, complex, and critically ill neonates within the Special Care Nursery.
Provide compassionate, family-centred care and support to parents and carers throughout the neonatal journey.
Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, coordinated, and patient-focused care.
Assess, monitor, and respond appropriately to changes in neonatal condition, escalating care when required.
Contribute to a positive team culture and ongoing quality improvement, education, and professional development initiatives within the nursery.
What we're looking for
Postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Nursing and demonstrated experience within a Special Care Nursery or neonatal setting.
Well-developed clinical assessment skills and the ability to provide safe, evidence-based neonatal care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with a strong commitment to family-centred care and collaborative teamwork.
