Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivatedBackend Java Spring Boot Microservices Engineerwith experience in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-grade application atMelbournelocation.
The ideal candidate will have solid expertise inJava, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, AWS Cloud Services, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, along with hands‐on experience in bothdevelopment and production support activitieswithin anAgile/Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities
Development
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications usingJava, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
Build and consumeRESTful APIsand integrate with internal and external systems.
Develop cloud-native applications and deploy solutions onAWSservices such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS.
Implement event-driven solutions using messaging technologies such asKafkaor RabbitMQ.
Create reusable, secure, and high-performance services following industry best practices.
Participate in application design, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
DevOps & Cloud
Develop and maintainCI/CD pipelinesusing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.




Containerize applications usingDockerand deploy/manage workloads onKubernetesplatforms.
Implement automated testing, code quality checks, security scans, and deployment processes.
Monitor application performance and optimize cloud resource utilization.
Support & Maintenance
ProvideL2/L3 production supportfor business-critical applications.
Perform incident analysis, debugging, root cause identification, and issue resolution.
Participate in on-call support rotations when required.
Analyze logs, monitor system health, and proactively address application issues.
Work on defect fixes, enhancements, performance tuning, and service improvements.
Agile Delivery
Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.
Estimate user stories and deliver high-quality code within sprint commitments.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
Required Skills
Strong experience inJava (6+ years)
Hands-on experience withSpring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security




Experience designing and implementingMicroservices Architecture
Knowledge on Node.js will be an added advantage.
Expertise inREST APIsand API integration
Strong knowledge ofAWS Cloud Services
Experience withDocker and Kubernetes
Experience withCI/CD toolssuch as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Harness
Good understanding ofSQL and NoSQL databases(Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
Experience withKafkaor other messaging platforms
Proficiency inGitversion control
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Experience working inAgile/Scrumteams
Preferred Skills
Experience with Spring Cloud, API Gateway, Eureka, Resilience4j
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Knowledge of observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch
Experience with secure application development and cloud security practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Java backend development (adjust as required).
Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including development, deployment, and production support.
