Accountant – Penrith, Cumbria£30,000 - £40,000 + Study Support + Benefits
Clark Wood are recruiting for anAccountantto join an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants inPenrith, Cumbria.
This role would suit anAccounts Assistant, Accounts Semi Senior, Semi Senior Accountant or AAT qualified Accountantlooking to progress their career within accountancy practice.
You'll work with a varied portfolio ofsole traders, partnerships and limited companies, gaining experience across accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping and general client work.
The Role
Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparing and assisting with personal tax returns
Supporting with corporation tax and tax compliance
Bookkeeping and VAT work
Dealing with client queries and providing accounting support
Maintaining accurate working papers and records




Using accounting software to complete client assignments
Working to deadlines and managing your own workload
About You
Previous experience within aUK accountancy practice
AAT qualified, studying towards ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience
Experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance
Good bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
Good communication skills and a client-focused approach
Keen to develop your career within practice
