AO3 Business Support Officer Construction Maintenance Division Hourly Rate: $***** per hour + superannuation QLD Government opportunity Initial contract from 21/09/2026 – 01/01/2027 + likely ongoing contract About the Role We are recruiting for a large QLD Government Department, who are seeking a customer-focused administration professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in delivering efficient business support services, managing correspondence, maintaining records, and ensuring customer enquiries are handled professionally and within required timeframes.
This position offers the chance to work within a performance-driven setting while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality customer service to a broad range of stakeholders.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence including calls and emails.
Maintain accurate records and information within business systems.
Prepare and compile documents, reports, registers and administrative records.
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of procedures and manuals.
Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, external customers and suppliers.
Assist with general administrative duties and business support activities such as data entry, inbox management, project administration etc.
Escalate or manage enquiries appropriately in the absence of senior staff.
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Previous experience within an administration or business support role.
Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience within construction, government, mining, insurance repairs or similar industries is highly regarded.
Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to show initiative.
