Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Obstetrician Gynaecologist to take on the role of Head of the Obstetrics Gynaecology Department within a well-established regional health service.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an O G specialist seeking to combine clinical practice, departmental leadership and service development within a supportive regional hospital.
The Opportunity This is a permanent full-time Staff Specialist position , working 40 hours per week , with responsibility for providing specialist Obstetrics Gynaecology services while providing clinical leadership across the department.
As Head of O G, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development and delivery of high-quality maternity and gynaecological services to the local and surrounding communities.
The role offers the opportunity to: Provide senior specialist Obstetrics Gynaecology care Lead and support the O G medical team Provide clinical leadership across the department Contribute to service planning and development Support quality improvement and clinical governance Work collaboratively with senior medical, nursing and allied health colleagues Contribute to education, supervision and professional development Help shape the future direction of the O G service This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced O G specialist who is ready to take the next step into departmental leadership or for an established clinical leader seeking a rewarding regional appointment.
About the Hospital The hospital is a Level 3/4 facility providing a broad range of acute and specialist healthcare services to the local community and surrounding region.




The service works closely with other district hospitals and health services to provide coordinated care across the region.

Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants will require: Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist Appropriate specialist qualifications recognised in Australia International Medical Graduates with an appropriate specialist pathway to AHPRA registration are encouraged to enquire Recent clinical experience as a Senior Medical Officer / Specialist in Obstetrics Gynaecology Demonstrated recent clinical leadership and management experience Strong communication, leadership and multidisciplinary skills A commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care Why Apply?
