Internal Expression of Interest (EOI) Nurse Unit Manager – Penshurst Campus Penshurst Campus | Western District Health Service Internal Applicants Only Permanent Full Time Accrued Day Off (ADO) NM10 Classification Penshurst Campus Lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality aged care and acute services Lead care, people and service excellence at Penshurst Campus Western District Health Service is seeking expressions of interest from current WDHS employees for the position of Nurse Unit Manager – Penshurst Campus .
Penshurst and District Health Service comprises four acute beds and 29 residential aged care beds.
The Nurse Unit Manager provides clinical and operational leadership to nursing staff, health care workers and the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, ensuring residents and patients receive safe, person-centred and evidence-based care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader looking to further develop their leadership capability while contributing to the continued success of a close-knit rural campus.
As a permanent full-time position, the role also includes an accrued day off (ADO) arrangement.
What You'll Be Doing Clinical Leadership Provide clinical leadership and oversight to nursing staff, health care workers and the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality care.
Workforce Management Coordinate staffing, allocate workloads, manage skill mix requirements and support staff performance, development and mandatory training compliance.
Person-Centred Care Ensure residents, patients, families and carers are actively involved in care planning and decision-making processes.
Quality, Safety Clinical Governance Lead incident management, quality improvement activities, clinical documentation standards and compliance with relevant accreditation requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement Work collaboratively with medical,
allied health and community services while maintaining positive relationships with residents, patients, families and carers.
Operational Leadership Act as Nurse in Charge on rostered shifts, participate in relevant meetings and contribute to the effective operation of the Penshurst Campus.
