Job Description
Wake up to kunanyi / Mount Wellington, finish the day with time for a walk along the Derwent before dinner. Hobart is what the rest of the country used to feel like — and the clinical work here is more interesting than most clinicians expect.
n
About The Opportunity
n
We're partnering with a well-established Hobart private practice looking for a Podiatrist to join their team. The role is designed for clinicians who want to do positive clinical work inside a genuinely supportive team - without the volume pressure, commute drain, or anonymity of a larger city.
n
Whether you're a new graduate looking for structured mentoring, or an experienced clinician ready for a change of pace without a change of standards, this practice has built a reputation for looking after both patients and staff.
n
Why Hobart, why this role
n
n
Meaningful caseload - an ageing population, a strong regional referral base, and complexity you don't get in higher-turnover metro clinics
n
Genuine liveability - ***** minute commutes, the mountain out one window and the harbour out the other, and weekends that don't get eaten by traffic
n
Financial breathing room - housing costs well below the mainland capitals, and a lifestyle that doesn't require a second income to enjoy
n
Real community - a small-enough city that your GPs know you by name, and referral relationships actually mean something
n
Modern clinic - current equipment, current clinical software, and a team that takes standards seriously
n
n
What The Day Looks Like
n
n
Comprehensive assessments, diagnoses and evidence-based treatment planning across a diverse caseload
n
Routine podiatry care - nail and callus management, general biomechanics, footwear advice
n
Complex work - diabetic and high-risk foot assessments, wound care, offloading
n
Orthotic prescription, fitting, and rehabilitation program design
n
Patient education with a strong preventive-health focus
n
Accurate clinical documentation aligned with AHPRA standards
n
Participation in case reviews and ongoing team development
n
n
Who We're Looking For
n
n
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Podiatry
n
Current General Registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia (AHPRA)
n
New graduates genuinely welcome - structured mentoring and clinical supervision provided
n
Strong communication skills and a genuine focus on patient outcomes
n
Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
n
A commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth
n
n
What's On Offer
n
n
Competitive base salary + superannuation, negotiable based on experience
n
Relocation support available for the right interstate or overseas candidate
n
Generous CPD allowance and dedicated study leave
n
Structured onboarding and mentoring - particularly valuable for early-career clinicians
n
Modern clinic, high-quality equipment, and clinical software that supports rather than frustrates
n
Flexible rostering built around a genuine work-life balance
n
Clear pathway for career progression within a growing multidisciplinary team
n
n
Sound like you?
