Due to rapid growth and expansion we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Garment Technician to join our Design & Production team while working across our entire range.
n
This is a fast paced position working alongside another garment technician, garment tech assistant and closely with various teams within our business.
n
Salary range: *****k + super per annum
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Working closely with the Design and production team to transition from initial concepts through to final sample, reporting directly into the Design and production Manager
n
Creating initial Tech Packs in conjunction with design for sample development
n
Measuring garments and commenting on manufacturing finishes for all sampling
n
Conduct fit meetings and communication of comments to off-shore factories
n
Liaising daily with suppliers in China in regards to re-fits, fabrics, finishes and grading
n
Constant communication with Production team to keep on track with timelines and critical paths
n

Requirements
n
n
Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role ideally within the fast fashion industry
n
Tertiary education in Design, Pattern making and Grading is essential
n
A genuine awareness of trends and the ability to incorporate this into fit sessions
n
Strong industry leading software and technology skills (e.g. Excel, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and the Adobe Creative Suite);
n
Experience in Pattern making, and Grading is essential
n
Tech pack and garment spec knowledge is essential
n
Experience working across a variety of categories is essential
n
In-depth knowledge and experience in fabric testing, textile properties and quality assurance
n
Robust communication skills
n
Strong organisational skills to adhere to critical path deadlines
n
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
