Initially offered as a 3-month contract, this role has strong potential to become permanent and would suit someone looking to accelerate their development within a complex, high-risk environment.

About the Role
n
Reporting into the Safety Manager, you'll partner closely with operational teams across a large field-based workforce.
n
n
Providing practical WHS advice, coaching and support to operational teams and contractors
n
Conducting workplace inspections, safety audits and assurance activities
n
Identifying hazards and partnering with leaders to implement effective risk controls
n
Supporting plant, equipment and heavy vehicle safety inspections
n
Monitoring contractor safety performance and compliance
n
Investigating incidents, injuries and near misses and assisting with corrective actions
n
Delivering toolbox talks, inductions and safety awareness initiatives
n
Supporting risk assessments and continuous improvement activities
n
Maintaining safety reporting, dashboards and performance data
n

About You




n
You'll likely bring experience from construction, infrastructure, transport or other operational environments.
n
We're particularly interested in candidates with:
n
n
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
n
Current driver's licence
n
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles
n
The confidence to engage directly with frontline workers, supervisors and contractors
n
A proactive attitude and genuine desire to continue developing within the safety profession
n
Comfortable working varied roster with some night shifts required
n
